講座人簡介：
阮士貴, 1983年本科畢業(yè)于華中師范大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系,1988年獲得華中師范大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系碩士學(xué)位,1992年獲得加拿大阿爾伯特 (Alberta) 大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系博士學(xué)位,1992-1994年在加拿大菲爾茲數(shù)學(xué)所 (Fields Institute) 和麥克馬斯特 (McMaster) 大學(xué)做博士后。1994-2002年在加拿大道爾豪斯(Dalhousie)大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計(jì)系先后任助理教授和副教授。現(xiàn)為美國邁阿密大學(xué) (University of Miami) 數(shù)學(xué)系終身教授。主要研究領(lǐng)域是動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)和微分方程及其在生物和醫(yī)學(xué)中的應(yīng)用,在非線性發(fā)展方程、非局部擴(kuò)散方程、帶年齡結(jié)構(gòu)模型、生物系統(tǒng)的多參數(shù)分支等方向作了很多重要工作。特別是針對(duì)一些在我國流行的重大傳染性疾?。ㄈ绶堑?、乙型肝炎、血吸蟲病、狂犬病、瘧疾、登革熱、禽流感、麻疹等）的數(shù)學(xué)建模、數(shù)據(jù)模擬和理論分析作了一系列開創(chuàng)性工作。在包括《PNAS》、 《Lancet Infect Dis》、《Memoirs Amer Math Soc》、《J Math Pures Appl》、《Math Ann》等學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表了200多篇學(xué)術(shù)論文,受到了國內(nèi)外同行的關(guān)注與大量引用,2014 和2015 年連續(xù)被湯森路透集團(tuán)列為全球高被引科學(xué)家。擔(dān)任了一些重要學(xué)術(shù)期刊如《BMC Infectious Diseases》、《Bulletin of Mathematical Biology》、 《DCDS-B》、 《Mathematical Biosciences》等的編委,是《Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering》的主編（數(shù)學(xué)）。作為項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人多次獲得美國國家衛(wèi)生研究院（NIH）、美國國家科學(xué)基金（NSF）、國家自然科學(xué)基金會(huì)資助。2013年獲得海外及港澳學(xué)者合作研究基金（原海外杰青）資助。
講座簡介：
The classical reaction-diffusion equations with Laplace operators have been extensively used to characterize short range local diffusion phenomena, while recent studies suggest that nonlocal diffusion equations are more suitable to describe long range nonlocal spatial movements, such as the long distance geographical spread of infectious diseases by international traveling. In this talk, first I will briefly compare the differences between these two types of diffusion equations. Then I will review the spectral theory that will be used to analyze the stability in structured equations. Finally nonlocal diffusion biological models, such as the nonlocal viral infection model and a susceptible-infectious epidemic model with nonlocal diffusion will be analyzed. More precisely, it is shown that if the principal eigenvalue of a perturbation of the nonlocal diffusion operator is less or equal to zero, then the semitrivial equilibrium is asymptotically stable, while if the principal eigenvalue is greater than zero there is a positive equilibrium which is stable.
